Disposal of Excess Property
All materials in University custody, whether tagged or not are considered University property, therefore, any disposition of property must go through the Surplus Office. 
Departments have the following disposal options:

Laser Cartridges
The University of Arizona has a yearly contract with outside vendors to sell the used laser cartridges. When your department has cartridges that will not be refilled, they can be turned into Surplus Property for credit!  The department's disposal account will be credited based on an accumulative total. Proceeds are distributed back to the department in accordance with the fee schedule

Federal Property Acquisition
If you are in need of property which has been declared excess or surplus and is listed in the GSA Excess Property Catalog, you may obtain these items by contacting the Sponsored Projects Property Administrator. Instructions can be found here.

Storage
We have limited storage space available for smaller equipment, records and furniture. The fee is assessed by the space needed and the length of storage time. Give us a call for more information.

Fee Schedule
As a result of our continuous attempt to provide better service to the campus community, we modified our rate structures to return more funds to your department!!
