University Department Sales
University personnel are able to view and purchase, for their department, all excess property located at the Surplus Property facility. An area for department purchase is separated from items scheduled to be put in a public sale, however, departments can purchase any excess property prior to the item(s) being put into a public sale. Once the item(s) have been posted to the public for sale, departments must participate in the auction for purchase. All that is needed is a valid University account number the department information, delivery information and items purchased. Items are delivered to campus departments at no charge.
The University of Arizona conducts public auctions every two weeks. The auctions are held on Tuesdays and items may be previewed on the Monday before the auction. If preview Monday is a holiday, items may be previewed on the first working day prior to Monday. The auctions are live and on-line, meaning bidders may be present at the auction or can bid from their computer simultaneously as the auction is being conducted. Typical items include furniture, lab equipment, bikes, vehicles, computer equipment and electronics.
Visit the Auction Website for a list of auctions, items, and dates.
